  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, raw
  • 3 Tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup toasted chopped cashews

Instructions

  1. Pre heat your oven to 300 degrees.

  3. In another bowl, whisk together the oil, the vanilla and the honey.
  4. Pour the liquid mixture into the oat mixture and use your hands to combine.
  5. On a baking sheet (coated with non stick spray), spread the mixture into a thin layer.
  6. Bake it for 15 minutes, stir, and then bake it again until light golden brown (5 to 20 minutes).
  7. While the granola cools down, mix the nuts and the raisins in a medium bowl.
  8. Once the granola is at room temperature (it will harden as it cools), mix with the nuts and the raisins.
  9. Store for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
