Ooh, the joys of being super pregnant in the summer. I’m definitely not looking forward to that part!

I am, however, really excited to be outside, picnicking or grilling and enjoying my favorite summer drink: iced tea.

We don’t have a backyard, since we live in an apartment, but we do have a nice balcony that I somewhat forgot existed during the winter. Except for when we would get notifications from the building management asking us to secure all objects because of a blizzard or wind, and I’d have to go outside and put my plantless vases and gnome (yes, we do have a green gnome in the balcony! ha!) inside.

Well, now that the weather is nice, I’ve been obsessed with revamping our balcony and been crazy Pinteresting some beautiful inspiration so I can make it a cozy place where we could have alfresco dinners or just hang out while enjoying something refreshing.

Some people say I’m nesting, but since I’m a first time mom I have no idea if this is it or just excitement that I finally get to be outside!

My drink of choice to relax and unwind at the end of a summer day is usually a cold glass of rosé or white wine.

That is obviously not happening this year, so I decided to create a pregnant friendly punch that can be spiked for guests if they need a little something something.

I’m usually pretty happy with sweet tea but my current sugar restrictions are very strict, so I came up with a punch that involved unsweetened iced tea, some lemon juice and sugar free ginger ale from Zevia. Pour it over some ice and voila! Summer thirst-quenching at its best!

Zevia has been my soda and sparkling water brand of choice during this pregnancy. It is not only 100% sugar free, sweetened with Stevia – which is plant based – but also non GMO and free of sodium.

They are committed to clean, delicious and refreshing beverages and I get to enjoy them without feeling like I’m harming my baby or my husband giving me the stink eye because I’m drinking soda.

I do plan on sticking to a somewhat sugar free lifestyle (with occasional cheat days, of course!) after pregnancy, so Zevia is guaranteed a place in my home even after baby is here and my diet is not as strict. I fall more and more in love with each sip! ❤️

Even if you’re not leading a sugar free life, you will definitely enjoy this Iced Tea Punch. You won’t even notice there’s no sugar in it!

And if you’re not pregnant and is craving a punch that is punchy, go ahead and add some rum. It makes the perfect cocktail for your next outdoor gathering.
